“….when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.”
Deepak Chopra in his book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success
The pain. The pain. Dear god, the pain!! The pain of disconnect. The pain of fear. Of loss. Of abandonment. The pain of forgetting love is there, waiting, willing to step forth and embrace.
Two people I love dearly are in crisis. We have worked together for a while now and somehow the joy has disappeared, the hope is lost, and all seems to be replaced with fear. Both know they need and want the other. Both know they love each other. Both are terrified to step forth. One will. I know…..then slowly the partner will respond…..and in a cruel dance of fear and death, they will begin to once again try to reconnect. Death, because the fear is as great as death. The fear is of total abandonment, of loss of all each can live for, the death of their dream and vision is at stake and in the moment feels to both of them to be inevitable.
It should be easy. It should be easy to love. To feel joy together. To find harmony and balance and the place of bliss that once was felt. What happened?
In this case, I don’t know. In many cases what happened might seem rather simple. Not feeling seen, understood, heard, not believed or trusted. Someone loses touch with the love that bloomed just the day before. Someone got scared and that scared the partner. Oh dear land, please take the risk. Reach out with your arm that feels so wooden and let your heart be touched.
We need each other.
- I am grateful for the wisdom I have accumulated over many years of life of searching, wondering and trying.
- I am grateful I know myself well enough that I can take a rest and return to a challenging task
- I am grateful for kind people in the world who will forgive me when stress beckons me into the world of the stupid.
Hugs and love always, Nancy
