“We are by nature relational creatures and connection is our essence.”

Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt authors of book Receiving Love

Much of what Harville and Helen speak of in their book is relational connection with a primary partner. Which is magnificent and glorious. A wonderful mirror from which to learn about self, to grow, and to heal. We teach each other when in relationship and our allowing self to receive the regard and caring of others helps us heal and nurtures our self esteem.

When not in a primary relationship we have options as well. Aimee teaches me much about giving and receiving unconditional love. About loyalty and commitment . Our precious friends, our relationship with things we do and give us pleasure and love and satisfaction as in having an avocation, a job, a garden, a hobby, even our dreams help keep us feeling connected to something bigger than self.

I urge you to look around you and open your heart to the connection of nature, of collective energy and consciousness, or music or art, of community, of options in the great open world that a waiting for you to notice.

  • I am grateful for all of those who care for me and love me
  • I am grateful when I can feel myself loving
  • I am grateful when I know my heart is open to letting love in
  • I am grateful for life.

Hugs and best wishes always, Nancy
