Balance is the key to my serenity. I attain balance by listening to my inner wisdom and to the wisdom of others.

Julia Cameron from her precious book Heart Steps

Thoughts:

When I am out of balance I get a cold. My head stuffs up, my throat hurts, I sneeze and cough, I am exhausted and vulnerable.

Total message from body to self that I am thinking too much and getting my psyche off balance. Balance means peace and quiet and harmony. A cold means disharmony, off balance, not listening to my inner wisdom. A cold forces me to settle down and nap. A cold forces me to stay away from people because no one wants to suffer in this particular manner with me!

Listen to your body. When it is not happy, has dis-ease, I suspect you are out of emotional, physical and spiritual balance. Honour that body knowing. Go deep inside and listen. Talk to someone who can help you hear. Trust there is an important message worth listening for and take your time patiently until the answer makes itself known to you.

Gratitudes:

  • I am grateful my cold is subsiding as I more and more understand what I am not a ease about.
  • I am grateful for wonderful homemade chicken broth and veggie soup that I gulp down between naps
  • I am grateful for an excellent night’s sleep filled with helpful nurturing dreaming
  • I am grateful for the sun shine today.

Hugs and love to all, Nancy
